I've always said the second longest period of time is the time that elapses from the point the jury knocks on the door saying they have a verdict until the time you actually find out what that verdict is. The only period of time longer is the split second between when the jury foreman says, "We find in favor of... " and when he completes the sentence.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to modify that. The last nine hours have taken longer than the last nine months. And I'm fairly certain that the brief pause between birth until Wynn cries for the first time will seem infinite.
Just soaking it in.
And just for the record, the time stamp on this blog is about two hours behind.
