5 hours in crib

You spent the most time ever in your crib. 5 whole hours. My little whale warrior.

What a BIG DAY! December 23rd

You had a big day. You went to the Doctor for your 8 wk checkup. You were 23 inches long and weighed 11 1/2 pounds. We thought you were bigger than that but the doctor said you were just right and could eat a little more. We decided to start giving you a little more formula.

You were such a brave big boy. You cried a little when you got your three shots, but not as much as Mom. Your Mom loves you so much. She doesn't want you to feel bad ever.

We either rewarded you or traumatized you next with a trip to see Santa Claus. You did really great, even if Santa was a little creepy and couldn't manage a smile.

Our major Christmas duty complete as parents - picture with Santa - we all went home and wrapped presents.

You and mom

Wynn, I'm watching your mom read you bible verses in one of your new kids bibles you got for Christmas yesterday. It is just about the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Your Mom loves you soooo much.

Dad dressed for Gala

LOST PICTURES

Dad lost his phone (or had it stolen) and the worst part about it was a few pictures if you were lost. Most were saved already so no big loss. And dad's new phone has a better camera and video. So that means... More baby Wynn pictures to show your dates.

You had a big weekend. Thursday you stayed with BeBe and Pops while Dad coached his other non biological kids. I can't wait until you are old enough to go with me to practices. I probably won't ever coach your teams, but we'll see. Plenty of time to talk about it.

Later Thursday is when Dad lost his phone. Friday, BeBe and Pops took care of you while we went with the rest of the firm to Gala. Mom and Dad had a big time listening to Tyrone Smith Review (Super T). Super T and your dad have a long history going back to 1992 at Sewanee, then at Troy, then at law school, and at some other events along the way. Sadly, I don't think Tyrone is going to make it until your first college party. But, we do have video of your Mom on stage with him. We'll share some Super T stories when you are older... And in private. Saturday was Dad's day. We spent all day together. Mom was a host at the Roth's for the Christmas Tour that night and we hung out in our pajamas and watched Cam Newton of Auburn win the Heisman. We'll have a life lesson involving Cam a little later. His Dad has provided us with a couple of teachable moments. Mainly just remember this... If you always tell the truth, you don't have to remember the lies you've told and to whom you've told them. Being honest is very important. We'll talk about it a lot later. Right now you are asleep on my chest, but getting a little squirmy. Love you Wynn. In your little shark pajamas that are already a little snug... You are well into your 3-6 month wardrobe even though you are not yet 2 months. Big shark. I think we're going to need a bigger boat.

Hey SMILEY!!

Snuck home from work for a few minutes. You were just hanging out in Mom's lap. You really love it when Dad whistles. You smile and laugh.

Bogey is always investigating when you laugh or cry.

And he's ready for you to throw the ball with him.

Kiss for Mom

Mom! Dad's got that camera again! (you were holding yourself up in
this picture)

You have your dad's nose. Sorry.

You really wanted your passie!

Extreme Close Up

After the Hail Mary celebration you needed some comfort. Halftime
bored you. You were dressed for the game and your spit up cloth said
"I drool orange and blue." I threw the ball around with some other
kids that day. Thought about how I can't wait to toss it around with
you.

Auburn Party

AUBURN BEATS SOUTH CAROLINA

You went to an Auburn viewing party at the Progress Bank Penthouse yesterday (Saturday). You were excited to watch Cam Newton (we'll discuss him and his Dad in a later life lesson post) in the SEC championship game. Actually, you slept through almost all of the first half. You did get excited when Cam through a Hail Mary to Darvin Adams for a touchdown. When 15 grown men jumped up and started yelling and hopping around it kind of startled you.

But you were very well behaved and aunt Julie Perry and aunt Jennie-Marie gave mom and dad's shoulders a break and held you for a long time. Plus, Auburn won. So it was a great day all the way around.

Dad gets a hard time from people when he doesn't update your blog. I'll do better. I Want you to have it to look back on when you are older. We are figuring you out. You are a stomach sleeper. However, all the pros say you're not allowed to sleep on your stomach so the only time you get to is when we are watching you closely. Like right now, you're on my stomach where you have been for the last couple of hours. But if we put you on your back you would get upset quick.

You're also very strong. You can pull and push your way around. You don't have anywhere to go, but it doesn't stop you from trying to go somewhere.

When you are really mad your bottom lip quivers. It is adorable, but it makes us so sad because that means you are upset and we're not making it better. Thankfully, that doesn't happen as much as it used to.

So maybe we are getting the hang of this.

Land shark. Dah duh. Dah duh. Dah duh.

Just chilling out on a Friday night

DAD JUST WHISTLED

Friday Night Liveblog

Hanging out on a Friday night and we learned a couple of things. You really like it when Dad whistles. You consistently smile when you hear it. Even grabbed a picture of it. You also really like the tiger on The Hangover. You look for it every time he growls. You're like a minute away from crawling. You push with your legs and pull with your hands. While laying on my torso, the next thing I knew you were up around my shoulder - just from scooting along. And mom just pointed out your arms are too long for a 3 month old outfit. You're just content as can be right now starting to doze off on Dad's chest.
